As MERL's Lab Administrator, you will be at the center of the Lab's day to day operations. As part of our HR/Admin team, you will work to help plan, coordinate, and manage the Lab's front office operations and administrative activities, while playing a key role to support the lab's HR initiatives, including recruiting and social media strategies.

You will have an opportunity to initiate and take part in creative improvements to our existing processes. You will be a highly-valued and appreciated member of our team, contributing to the lab's important mission. Your responsibilities will include purchasing, meeting coordination, and meeting material preparation, calendar management, facility needs, new employee onboarding, event planning, and other office-related and HR and administrative tasks. In performing these tasks, you will be working closely with our management team and expatriate team and will collaborate with IT and Accounting.

The ideal candidate will be a mature, personable, and responsible contributor with a keen ability to work both cooperatively and independently, set priorities, and manage multiple concurrent tasks accurately and reliably. Must be able to work effectively with a broad range of people from different countries both within MERL and Mitsubishi Electric in the US and Japan. Effective communication and organizational skills are essential. Extensive experience with PC operation and Microsoft Office suite is required, as is a college degree.
