Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL) a premiere research laboratory, doing long-term fundamental research that advances the frontiers of technology and makes lasting impacts on the world, is seeking a Front Office Administrator to join the HR team.
IIn this role, you will manage many facets of the day-to-day HR/administrative operations including, coordination of onsite guests and visitors, preparing printed materials and catering, purchasing office supplies, equipment and other related items. You will act as the point of contact for shipping (FedEx, mail, etc.) and the Lab’s facilities: kitchen, mailroom and general office areas. With support from the HR team, you will coordinate company events, by selecting venues, creating communication materials and managing guest lists. You help to coordinate HR activities including, staff and intern onboarding, employee trainings, benefits, visas, consulting contracts, updating databases and providing support to complete MERL’s annual report.
We are seeking a professional with a minimum of two years related experience, with demonstrated proficiency with computers, including calendar functionality, databases and MS Office tools. The ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in an organized fashion is key. Must enjoy working in a team environment, sharing responsibilities when needed, to meet the needs of the Lab. A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred for this position.
