Internship: Next generation LIDAR

MERL is looking for a highly motivated intern to work on developing prototype hardware for next generation LIDAR systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and debugging prototype hardware for interfacing with image sensors. Required skills include analog and digital circuit design, soldering, PCB layout, embedded software development and debugging. Familiarity with digital imaging and image sensors, as well as experience with VHDL and FPGAs is preferred. Candidates working towards MS and PhD degrees in electrical engineering are encouraged to apply. The duration of internship is expected to be three months
